In the 38th district, Representative T.J. Berry and Kevin Morgen are in a heated battle for votes.
Morgen, democratic candidate posted a photo of a piece of campaign literature that has attacked him for having close views to President Barack Obama. However, this is my opinion I feel like its my obligation to the Missouri Republican Party know that Representative T.J. Berry is not running for a state wide or federal office race.
It seems quite obvious that the campaign is under pressure probably due to the redistricting. Berry is well known in the former 35th district, but has to play catch up in the new 38th district due to new boundary lines which was not in his district in 2008.
The vulgar piece of campaign literature shows Morgen sitting at a kitchen table with a with a dish of butter in front of him with the Presidents face on it. This has to be one of the weakest points I have seen a state house race since Doug Ervin ran against Danny Gregory in 2006 in what was then the 35th district.
Berry is known as a man who gets things done, and it shows that they have all been working hard to find ways to win the 38th district. Morgen on the other hand has been knocking on doors all throughout the district and seems to be gaining support everywhere he goes.
Morgen is a simple man with big ideas that can help improve the state of Missouri. There have been polls that have shown that voters don’t look at literature, and if they do they decide to vote for that candidate being attached because of the name recognition for free advertisement.
In one of the last blogs for Out Front with Hunt, we told our viewers to not think this race is a done deal because its only begun. Morgen is gaining momentum, and plans to work for the next ten days to get every vote possible to receive that fully earned victory on November 6th.
